Pilates, developed by Joseph Pilates in the 20th Century, is a series of exercises designed to develop all-around body strength with a particular focus on the core muscles. Pilates helps to improve posture as well as prevent injury, and practitioners may find that it improves their performance in other forms of exercise including weightlifting and yoga. We don’t use any props for Pilates at The Fitness Village and it is suitable for all levels.
