Mae is a Yoga Alliance certified Ashtanga Vinyasa teacher. Introduced to yoga through Buddhist meditation and a focus on the philosophy of the 8 Limbs (Ashtanga) and then Hinduism, Mae uses a foundation of primary series in different Vinyasa styles. The intention within the class is to always bring the awareness back to the breath; using the breath as a tool to be mindful of the body and take attention away from external stimulation. Yoga is a way to maintain physical strength but also to cultivate a spiritual practice.
